# Remove CO2 with Clairity ## Projects ### Investing in Southern Nevada #### Project Juniper Nevada provides an ideal environment to scale carbon removal - with a tremendous capacity for carbon-free electricity, low-cost generation, and a diverse workforce supporting a range of industries. Clairity selected Southern Nevada as the site for our first project - Project Juniper - as it provides the perfect conditions for our technology to operate. Our DAC technology performs best in dry climates, and the water that is generated can be provided back to water-stressed communities. Project Juniper is sized to remove 100 tons of CO2 per year and serves as the proof-of-concept for Clairity's approach. ### The First DAC + Ex-Situ Mineralization Project in North America Project Juniper not only captures atmospheric CO2, but also sequesters that CO2 into inert rocks where it is locked away for over 1,000 years! We are the first DAC technology developer to undergo validation of our end-to-end process in the United States, to provide increased confidence and transparency for communities, partners, and buyers. Our ex-situ mineralization technology converts gaseous CO2 into carbonated materials. All materials used in this process are safe and non-hazardous, presenting no risk to people or the environment.
